Guayadeque won't detect mouse cursor theme in Ubuntu

hi, I'm using current LTS Ubuntu and I just happened to face a small issue or call it whatever you like but Guayadeque doesn't detect my themed cursor it transforms it to default automatically. Maybe it can be improved or something, it doesn't seem to be something serious all other software detects the cursor fine. Thank you.
