Just checked and the [] are allowed.
But just noticed that as the disk are empty the filenames starts with a dot '.' so the files may be hidden. Could you check by pressing ctrl-h in nautilus or whatever file browser you have ?

That's it, files were hidden. Why was it so? What do you mean "disk was empty"?
Edit: Okay got it. Music without disk numbers tags was getting hidden. Can't believe I missed that.
Thanks a lot for that Anonbeat! Now, can the pattern just be made to ignore the "{d}." part if disk numbers do not exist (or anything else missing in general)?

the {d} means the disc field in the tags.
