"Play" command removes songs

Post by pensadorlouco »

I discovered Guayadeque when I had my Ubuntu Natty, and I started using it ever since as my default music player. But two weeks ago I had to make a fresh install of Linux Mint 10 KDE on a second computer, at home, and as expected I searched for the repository (here) and installed the new version.

But ever since I've done that, every time I select music to play (or a full album), the play button makes the music disappear from the current playlist. Ctrl+Space is doing the same, so I can't work around to play a single song.

Does anyone here has faced that before?

Best regards,

Below is the output. It does mention GStreamer and, if that's the case (if I must install gstreamer plugins) then your advice is to install all plugins?

Thanks a lot for your help.

You are missing gstreamer plugins. Be sure you have installed

gstreamer0.10-plugins-base
gstreamer0.10-plugins-good
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse

Thanks for your help

Thank you very, very much. All of gstreamer plugins you've mentioned were installed except for "gstreamer0.10-plugins-good", and I was lost for not knowig which to instaal.

Everything's working fine now.

I have a similar problem myself.
Sometimes when starting a new album, it may play the first song fine, but then skips through the next couple & plays fine>>OR just skips through until the last song & stops.
This doesn't happen on any kind of regularity at all, but happens enough to be annoying.
I've checked the plugins in this thread & was missing "-ugly-multiverse" & that didn't help as I had hoped.

I should add that I use Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid & this is happening on more than one computer.

Try disabling the lyrics target 'Embedded'

Thanks for the help anonbeat!
So far, that seems to have done the trick. I'll let you know if the problem persists.

Thank you also for a wonderful piece of software!
