Guayadeque and IRC Chat support
Should Guayadeque have an IRC chat room for chat support?

Guayadeque and IRC Chat support
would be very easy to set up, just a matter of having users to support the channel. If anyone is on IRC often and would be willing to park in the proposed room please let us know in this discussion. Nothing worse than having a dead channel with no users in it.
Generally support questions should be asked on the forums IMO.
I assume Freenode would be preferred.

Guayadeque and IRC Chat support
wikidot isn't an official support channel for guayadeque. Any guaydeque IRC support should be obtained from
Freenode
#guayadeque
Though until anyone volunteers to help host the channel, this is an unofficial support path.

Guayadeque and IRC Chat support
what does "Official Support Channel" mean?
so chat on yet a different site, with no content [much like this web site] is preferred?
what is the goal?
there are tools in place, why not use them?
I have yet to see any statement by Juan, about what is "official"?
where is the support?
As far as I can see the Ubuntu thread or directly to Juan's email are the most useful avenues for bug support.
At this time the documentation on the wiki is by far the most complete
I suppose one could try to wade through 5000 posts & try to figure out if the posts apply to the current version.

Guayadeque and IRC Chat support
This is where I will support guayadeque in the near future. I cant be writing documentation, supporting by chat, writing the program, answering emails, ... at the same time
If ppl help on this site writing the documentation instead of writing their own all can benefit from it.
I dont think spread the support in 100 sites is good for anyone this is why I want it to be in one place that I can follow more easy without more work and where all can collaborate. Also I like it to be in the guayadeque.org domain names which makes sense.

100 sites?
this site doesn't come up in the 1st 4 pages
http://www.google.com/search?hl=&q=Guay ... 4&ie=UTF-8
what's more important the project or control?
from the look of your response
control wins by a landslide
the difference between a interesting curiosity & a great app is the help file/support
It's been a fun ride
good luck
