Internet Radio Drops Out

On Ubuntu 20.04 internet radio stops playing after about 20 seconds. It just completely drops out almost as if it's playing what is ever loaded in the cache then once done it drops connection. Tried increasing the cache and buffer while also disabling extra option but to no avail. This has been my go to music app and is the default player in the distro I manage. I'd like to figure out how to resolve it so I don't feel the need to replace it.

Aha - I think Shortwave is the better Radio player, easy to find all your stations and add them to a favourites screen.

for me it plays perfectly. I changed settings to buffer 512 and I have output to auto
