Change Icon in notification Area

Post by GodNobody »

Hi there,

I really like the possibility to control guayadeque with the icon in the notification area. But as ubuntu 10.10 has a lot of themes with background color in the panel, the icon looks really ugly as it always has it's own white background.

I would be very pleased, if I could change this icon somehow or if the icon could adept the background color of the panel.

This doesn't mean I don't like the guayadeque icon at all, it's just together with the gnome-panel of ubuntu 10.10.

You can see what I mean in the attached picture.

Guayadeque uses wxWidgets as Toolkit to create all the gui elements. This library have a compatibility issue with latest gnome-panel that prevent the transparency to work correctly. This havent been fixed for months.

I was expecting to be fixed in wxWidgets but I think its about time to fix it from Guayadeque and at the same time add more functionality to the System Tray Icon like handle the mouse wheel or middle button click.

Thanks for your help
