Copy random songs on portable music player

Post by lylambda » Tue Feb 15, 2011 4:49 pm

An option for copy random songs on portable music player can be usefull for GuayUsers.
For now, I use a script I wrote. That's work perfectly on my portable music player with MSC protocol, but no sure for MTP music player.

If that can help I attach my script with comments inside (I added ".txt", otherwise I can't send).

You can do that right now. Create a playlist and set ordering to random and limit to the size you want or the number of tracks you want. Every time you select the playlist the tracks will be randomly picked following your playlist criteria.
Then right click on it and use the Copy To to transfer the tracks to the portable device.
First you must open the portable device from guayadeque Devices menu or from Sources window.

Thanks for your help

Hard to ask for new features : all is already done !
Otherwise, thanks for the method.

Maybe one thing could be interesting, if the playlist adapt automatically its size to the place in the portable device.
