Guayadeque Music Player

Just commited a change that allow from the library to embed the album cover to the album tracks.
It works with multiple albums selected and every album will get its cover. If the album have no cover it will remove any cover the files may have embedded.

Thanks anonbeat, this is a very neat featue.
Here is a consideration:
In the process to get/find covers for my albums I never worried about the size of the bitmaps. Some are into the few Mbs. Since I started (recently) embedding the covers into the files It crossed my mind that surely there is a reasonable limit as to how big the files can be?

Do you (or anyone) know what this limit is? If there is a limit do you think Guayadeque should some how be aware of it?

Just thinking that if it is not reasonable to embed a 2 MB jpg into a 3 MB mp3 files then the practicality of this new feature is in great measure lost as I would have to be navigating with Nautilus to the folders and then possibly editing the covers manually to reduce the size.

Guayadeque transcodes on the fly now. Could it resize jps on the fly too?

Yes of course It could be done, in fact, it does that for audio player devices.

Its needed to define somewhere the max size for an embedded image.

Just thinking that I can indeed wait for something like that before I get into all the hassle of having to edit thousands of jps manually...

I think for now I can enable a limit in embedded images of 600x600

I really like this!!! For me it's really useful!!!!

I think it could be a bit better it there will be an option to automatic add cover to files when a cover is selected for the album!
