Serious memory leak in Linux Mint 18

I recently upgraded my os to Linux Mint 18 and since then memory consumed by Guayadeque is just insane. For every song change the memory used jumps up by 2 to 3MB. Suddenly after a few songs are played, memory will shoot up to over 600MB. Sometimes in excess of 900MB.

Anybody else face the same problem??

No such issues on ubuntu. Even after 2-3 weeks without restart guayadeque was never above 150MB. But if I do remember correctly, previously it was even less.

Will take a look to see if something is wrong...

With the port to wxWidgets 3.0 and gstreamer 1.0 many changes have been done so maybe its causing this...

Thank you for your help

I'm using Mint 18 Xfce 64-bit and when i open Guayadeque it goes to 58MB. Then when i play a song it goes to 1 - 1.5GB and it stays there.

Even with a fresh install my problem persisted. As much as I loved Guayadeque I have had to move on. For now I am using mpd+Cantata.

Maybe it is something mint related? I'm now on Gnome 16.10 with gnome 3.22 (which is unofficial for 16.10) and guayadeque has no memory leaks.

I have also noticed the same symptoms as @razvaf. I am using Mint 18 Xfce 32 bit on an old Compaq Presario R3000 with 2GB memory. Once I play a song I see the same memory consumption 1.5-2GB.

I have the Now Playing, Last.fm, Directory browser, Lyrics, My Music open. No Player Filters, Vu meter, Cover, Sources windows.

In addition to problem we are discussing, the whole interface seems to disappear sometimes. Need to restart to correct it.
