How does Guadayeque work ?

Hi guys,

On the search for the best Audio Player in Linux, I found Guayadeque.
It seems promising, but I would have several questions.

1°) Is it still developped or is it another of those abandoned projects ?

2°) I have a severe problem in understanding how the file list works.

- If I double click an album it is added to the playlist. So I can see the tracks are added. I would assume that hitting the "Next" button would jump to the next track. It just erases the next track... and doesn't play it :-(

- If I doule click a track, I think it would play and replace the currently playing song. It does not unless the current playing track is stopped. then I can double-click the thing to play.

So either this is normal and then it is not super intuitive according to me :-(
Or this is a bug and then I would like to know if there's a way to fix it...

Regards.

Hello,
1. yes its maintained at the moment. But I have not much time.

2. If erases the track is that there is a problem with it. Most likely you are missing some gstreamer plugin. Run guayadeque from console and post the error you are getting.
If you double click a track it will replace the current playlist unless you have enabled in Preferences -> General -> 'Enqueue as default action' activated

See the manual. Its outdated but it may help

It's always sad - I'm really loving Guayaeque right now on my Cinnamon desktop, figured out how to configure 'open in nemo' for the file manager... super easy copy/paste Lyrics...

To combine ratings/easily manipulated playlists AND a modular display like this is truly unique.

I applaud you

How modular is the display? What can you do with it?
