Moving to different computer
Hi, is there a way how to move my collection to a different computer without loosing all the statistics (rating, play count...). Thanks!

If you move the ~/.guayadeque folder and the music is located at the same folder in the new computer you can keep all the information.

Thanks for a response. So you are saying that the path to my collection has to stay the same? I am afraid that's not possible since the new disk with my collection is mounted at different position. So in this case I can't transfer the statistics to my new computer?

This is an example of a path:
/media/sda4/Música/Cabo Verde/Cesaria Evora/Miss Perfumado/01- Sodade.flac
The key there is sd4 So I would imagine that if your music is on a different partition you are out of luck.

You can also try symlinks.
Another option would be to move it using the Copy to functionality.
Also in Guayadeque now you can save ratings, play counts and labels on the files (see the last option in Preferences -> Library), so there is not much that you will loose in that case (however you need to play at least once each song after enabling this option for the data to be saved on the file).

Thanks. I think I'll manage to do it with symlinks. I can't try it right now, so I let you know later, if it worked. Once again thanks for your help.
