I've installed the Nowplaying screenlet (v.3.4.3) on my Ubuntu Natty and I can see that I can use it with Mpris and there are three fields to enter to tell the screenlet the mpris settings
1. Remote Application
2. Remote Object
3.Interface function.
My question is what should I put in these 3 fields? I've tried org.mpris.guayadeque but to no avail. I'd really appreciate your feedback

Well I never used this app so I dont know what the application expects so I cant help
you can try with
org.mpris.guayadeque
/Player
org.freedesktop.MediaPlayer
Once you have this configured launch in a console dbus-monitor | tee dbus.log and start guayadeque and if something goes wrong send me the dbus.log so I can check how that application is using the parameters.

That worked perfectly. I was so close myself but didn't put /player in the remote object field and rather in the remote application field along with the org.mpris.guayadeque command. And also putting the org.freedesktop.Mediaplayer in the interface function helped as well.
Many thanks Anonbeat, great support for a great music player.
