Thanks for the software, it appears to be the perfect player for me. Unfortunately I was not able to test it very long.
Installed 0.2.7 on Ubuntu 10.10 from software centre and Guayadeque played fine except for glitches on many songs that played fine in Rhythmbox and even Guayadeque after rewinding and playing again. Upgraded to 0.2.9-1500 package from site but found that software would start but would crash if I tried to play any song. In removed the version and installed from SVN (0.3.0-1533) following site instructions and while the song will start now it crashes after about 1 second. Details as below;
From the command line;

SVN 0.3.0-1533 crashes
Sorry about the distro and version I didnt notice it before.
Can you try using libcurl4-gnutls-dev as Im using here ?
You are using the same distro as me and its quite stable for me
Also as you are using svn now can you use ./buildd instread of ./build so it compiles with debug info ?
Also if you get a segmentation fault dont forget to do bt 'enter' to list the call stack
Thanks for your help

Package manager says libcurl4-gnutls-dev is also installed. Sorry, I misread the backtrace instructions, should have included this before;

SVN 0.3.0-1533 crashes
I wonder why this is happening for you in Ubuntu when Im using this same lib and its not happening. I have read posts of this problem from debian users so I thought it was related only to the debian libcurl library.
Can you post the output of this command ?
dpkg --list | grep libcurl3-gnutls
Thanks

SVN 0.3.0-1533 crashes
For your first request;
brian@PC1:~$ dpkg --list | grep libcurl3-gnutls
ii libcurl3-gnutls 7.21.0-1ubuntu1 Multi-protocol file transfer library (GnuTLS)
Secondly, I do have winbind installed. I'll check those links.
I may go back to version 0.2.7 as that at least worked although it had some audio problems.

0.2.7 should give the same problem as it snot related to guayadeque. Its a libwins problem and its used by libcurl so it should happen the same in 0.2.7
As you can read affects also other programs
Thanks for your help

SVN 0.3.0-1533 crashes
Well, as mentioned in my original post 0.2.7 worked except that there was the odd audio anomaly.
I just made some changes to 0.2.9 and find that it's playing fine right now. The change I made was to turn off "Follow player" on the Last.fm tab. Interestingly, Last.fm is what causes Rhythmbox to crash as well!
Could it be the bug is really with winbind and Last.fm? It's no concern of mine really, I can live without Last.fm.
