guayadeque crashes while starting

I have Ubuntu 10.10 installed and sometimes guayadeque crashes either while I am opening a new file in nautilus or while I start guayadeque. However, sometimes it works well.

Here is the code of the last crash (I use guayadeque Revision 1425):

Looks like a problem with the XServer. I seen problems like this with older graphics cards drivers and also using older XFCE.

Are you using gnome ?

Here is another one, it appears, when I opened last time a playlist (.m3u)
Every third or fourth time, there is no error and it plays the playlist (sometimes it starts one song that I didn't mark and fades to the right song automatically within the first seconds, a bit strange

Yes, I am using gnome.
I have a Laptop, just bought to christmas. The graphics card is by Intel I think.

edit: VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller

I dont know what the problem can be but its a xserver problem. Are you using compiz ? try desabling it to see if that makes any difference

Thank you first, but it is still the same behaviour. I disabled all graphical effects (which means I disabled compiz I think) and it still crashes with the error:

guayadeque: Fatal IO error 11 (Die Ressource ist zur Zeit nicht verfügbar) on X server :0.0.

It is sad because guayadeque is in my opinion the best music player (I tested around 6 others already...)

Can you do a test ? start ubuntu is safe graphics mode to see if something changes

I started recovery mode and then low graphics settings, the error occured again (a bit different error number, but I had that already before sometimes):

guayadeque: Fatal IO error 0 (Erfolg) on X server :1.0.

I have another thing:
When I search a cover for an album by Claas P Jambour and I change the source to Google, it always begins the search and then crashes. Here is my Backtrace:
