I find that only about 20% of songs automatically find lyrics, no matter which of the supplier lyrics engines I use. Would it be possible in future to allow users to add their own preferred sites? Best would be if the search looked at all engines in sequence until it found something.

Do other users have much look with lyrics lookup? Lyricsfreak, lyrics wikia, sing365 all have much higher find rates than the ones built in. Or maybe it's the song name/tag format that's snagging me.

lyricsplugins used to work as a charm, but since the server is not working well, there is no reliable lyrics engine in guayadeque at the moment.

It might depend on the music genres we listen to but lyricsplugin is one of the worst ones for me. I virtually never get a result and end up adding lyrics myself with copy/paste a lot of the time. Either that or it gives lyrics to the wrong song. Does lookup work on the song name, artist name, tag.. ? A lot of my songs from albums have the format
songname: 05. really great song
artist: really great singer

I don't know if that's fully compatible with the lyrics lookup

For a long time lyricsplugin returned the wrong lyrics.
I just tried it again and now it doesn't return anything and the Reload the lyrics button remains greyed out.

I also have problems with lyrics sometimes.
Case 1: it shows the wrong lyrics. Pressing refresh button solves the problem.
Case 2: it shows http://www.lyricsvip.com
Pressing refresh button also solves the problem.

Of course it depends on tags to do the searchs. This is why you can edit the search criteria if needed.
Lyricsplugin is amazing for me. It finds everything, even very new music... There was some time when it was doing weird things but it was a server fault and I could do nothing to fix it.

I dont have any site that gives good results with search function. If you find any let me know
