KDE Custom Shortcuts using D-Bus
  • To begin with I am new to this discussion thread, and a new albeit enthusiastic user of Guayadeque.

    I am posting this because I like simple stuff. Just in case there are others of the same vein.
    This will allow any KDE user to use multimedia keys with Guayadeque.

    Only the Play D-Bus command is shown, simply replace "Play" with Stop,Next,Previous etc...as needed


  • This is an update to my earlier post.

    I found that under the Grooup Guayadeque, only the Play and Stop media keys work.
    Instead of the Group, I have now defined the media keys individually and it works, (i.e):
